New York City is one of the interior design capitals of the world. Home to some of the most contemporary and creative designers, you won't be hard pressed to find some beautiful apartment interiors. Here are some of our favorites:

1. Columbus Circle Penthouse by Jarret Interior Design

This penthouse on the edge of the upper west side can compete with some of the most stunning homes with beautiful views. Jarret Interior Design brings elements of a New York loft- with art studio inspired tripod lamp, pictures and telescope- and mixes them with cozy, contemporary design. Accents of green are found in the pillows, blanket and carpet where they wonderfully play off the subdued tones of beige and black.

2. Tribeca Loft by Deborah French Design

This loft put together by Deborah French Design in Tribeca was an easy choice for us. Eclectic design is done best when you can't picture the room coming together any other way. Mission accomplished because there isn't a single object in this room we'd remove. The dramatic burnt umber and orange tones of the sofa are picked up by the ottomans, chest and wall art. A strong influence from the far east can almost always be found in Deborah's design aesthetic. They are seen here in the sisal rug, room divider, side table and ottoman where they seamlessly blend with their European counterparts. Three pendant lights that save visual space divide the kitchen from the living room without crowding or interrupting the themes.

3. Midtown Manhattan Apartment by Morris & Woodhouse Interiors

So fresh and so clean. Morris & Woodhouse Interiors approached the task of using almost all-white and off-white tones with the utmost confidence. The result is a beautiful luxury apartment that always looks bright and clean but still comfortable and inviting- a balance that is very difficult to keep. The amazing industrial chandelier brings a little bit of chaos to an otherwise overly minimalist decor.

4. Micro by VANGUARD development

Vanguard development made it work for an Upper East side client who wanted to turn a small studio into a one bedroom. They delivered and then some in this beautiful New York interior. Implementing great small apartment decorating ideas like floor-to-ceiling mirrors and the use of narrow furniture. This has to be one of our favorites purely for the ingenuity of design.

5. Central Park West Apartment by foley & cox

With a view like that you could lay some newspaper down on the ground and people would still be impressed... That didn't stop foley & cox from creating one of the most subtly beautiful interiors of the lot. Fully acknowledging that the view was the center piece of this modestly proportioned living room, they perfectly framed the room around it. Muted tones in the furniture, rug and painting work together to fill the visual space without dominating it. Even the beautiful lean sculpture in the corner glances out the window. We love the fact that foley & cox never forgot what's important about this room.
